Responsible for all Film and Television (FTV) Production Services production equipment, including check outs and operations. Researches and recommends gear and purchase. Manages service/repair and maintenance. Maintains inventory and database operations. Supports classroom audiovisual equipment. Responsible for all post-production facilities; including working with College of Fine Arts IT on functioning of licenses and equipment for computer workstations (including ProTools, ProTools Plug-ins, and Adobe Creative Suite). Oversees building and CatCard access for Marshall building and FTV classroom/lab spaces for over 200 FTV Production students. Manage all post-production and film delivery operations including supporting Quality Control, assembling student films into DCPs and delivering them to exhibitors. Support public screenings of student, faculty, and guest work both on campus and community venues. Manages and maintains records of all FTV production budgeting, expenses, and bookkeeping, including associated personnel budget expenses. Develops and maintains relationships with outside vendors and sponsors. Trains FTV Production Services staff (1 part-time employee) and student workers (6 student workers). Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Knowledge of camera, lighting, sound gear and ProTools, ProTools plug-ins, and Adobe Creative Suite * Knowledge of the operations of a performing arts venue. * Knowledge of relevant OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA regulations and standards and industry best practices. * Team management skills. * Skilled in one or more specialties of technical theater. * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Physical Requirements: * Ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy. * Must be able to repetitively move/lift/carry up to 50lbs. This position will require long periods of standing, sitting, bending, repetitive hand motion, kneeling, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, squatting, crouching, balancing, pulling, pushing. |
