About the Opportunity:

As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will perform engineering/technical assignments using manufacturing engineering practices and principles while productionizing new programs and capital plans. Design, implement and develop solutions to manufacturing methods relating to materials, processes and tooling. Lead value stream implementation of key manufacturing programs.

Location: Whitesboro, NY

Responsibilities:

  • Implements processes at the operational level, focused on developing the operation from the ability to make one part to the ability to make parts at the business model.
  • Provides engineering support by troubleshooting problems and effecting timely solutions to maintain the continuity of production flow.
  • Designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.
  • Monitors and debugs new methods and procedures to ensure system efficiencies.
  • Effectively implements program capital plans.
  • Interfaces with all manufacturing, quality and engineering folks to drive program objectives.
  • Interfaces with technical and non-technical vendors and outside sales personnel to evaluate cost estimate and implement solutions to meet program objectives.
  • Analyze & interpret the data on the customer blueprints to determine the best way to proceed to reach the desired outcomes. Drives team to most efficient process for product manufacture.
  • Defines flow "rules" using TOC throughout line.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related discipline is required from an accredited college or university.
  • Ten years manufacturing experience is required, Aerospace preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled, well lit, and reasonably clean aerospace manufacturing environment. Noise levels are generally below 80 decibels.
  • Most work is performed on the shop floor in a manufacturing environment with required PPE.
  • Role involves standing, walking, climbing stairs, and moving around equipment during daily activities.
  • May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or lifting items up to 25 pounds.
  • Work requires use of hands and arms to handle and manipulate parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Tasks include a blend of hands-on activities with parts, tools, and equipment, and technical work such as reviewing data and using computer-based systems.
  • Frequent interaction and communication with production teams, supply chain, and customers in a dynamic environment.
  • Extended periods of focus and attention to detail may be required when working on technical projects.
