*Job Description*
We're hiring *Fiber Splicer Technicians* to join a new cabling team supporting data center construction projects. This is a hands-on role for experienced splicers who are ready to work in a fast-paced environment with strong financial upside and long-term career potential. If you've got 2+ years of fiber splicing experience and are comfortable working night shifts, this is a great opportunity to grow with a leading infrastructure team. *What You'll Do* * Perform fusion or ribbon splicing (24-count, single strand armored fiber) * Terminate and test fiber connectors (LC, SC, ST, FC, MPO/MTP) for both single-mode and multi-mode fiber * Use OTDR and Fluke DTX 180 for testing and troubleshooting * Install and terminate jumper cords, breakout loose tube fiber, and tight buffered fiber * Build closets and install racks, patch panels, cross-connects, and grounding * Pull and label cable per IES standards * Perform mechanical and fusion splicing in building entrances, maintenance spaces, and direct buried environments * Work in a data center construction setting, both indoors and outdoors * Use trade tools including punch tools, crimpers, cable strippers, and more * Work night shifts (5 PM - 3 AM) with flexibility for day work as needed *What You Bring* * 2+ years of fiber splicing as a primary job function * Experience with fusion or ribbon splicing (must bring own ribbon splicer if applicable) * Proficiency in terminating SMF and MMF systems using Unicam, anaerobic, and heat-cure methods * Strong troubleshooting skills using OTDR and PMLS * Experience working in data center construction environments * Ability to meet IES driving standards and operate safely * Familiarity with Corning/Commscope fiber systems * Ability to lift, bend, and work in confined spaces * Comfortable using hand and power tools *Nice to Have* * 3-5 years of fiber experience * Industry certifications (Corning, FOA) * OSP/confined space entry experience * Experience with outside plant fiber splicing *Why Apply?* * Be part of a new, high-impact cabling team * Work on cutting-edge data center infrastructure * Strong financial potential with consistent hours * Opportunity for long-term career growth * Work with a company that values safety, quality, and innovation *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
