Overview
The Tufts Institute for AI (TIAI) is a new university-wide, interdisciplinary center dedicated to AI and data-intensive research and pedagogy, studying the science of AI and its use in application domains that span the breadth of the university. The center will build on existing strengths at Tufts. TIAI will also create a collaborative, application-driven environment that simultaneously fosters the development of new methods for extracting meaning from data and the application of those methods to a host of domain areas relevant to Tufts. Lastly, TIAI will provide a university-wide forum for identifying strategic opportunities best addressed by combining expertise in the science of AI and application domains. What You'll Do TIAI is seeking to fill a staff scientist position at Data Scientist III level. We are seeking a candidate with a background in innovative AI/ML methodologies applied to multiple application areas in the sciences and engineering. Proficiency with Python and R programming and statistical analyses are required qualifications. Responsibilities of the Data Scientist III position are as follows. Work independently, but in close consultation and in cooperation with Senior Scientists. Develop, adapt, and implement analytical workflows and novel methods for large-scale AI applications, interpret, summarize, and communicate results. Collaborate on current/future grants through participation in grant proposals, submissions, publications and presentations. Participate in contributing data to publications and presentations as co-author. Participate in teaching, research, and mentoring including providing research guidance to graduate students or postdoctoral scholars. Essential Functions:
What We're Looking For Basic Requirements
Pay Range Minimum $72,500.00, Midpoint $90,700.00, Maximum $108,900.00 Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range. |
