Directed Energy - High Power Microwave Program Management Analyst

Contingent upon contract funding.


Purpose:

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Directed Energy - High Power Microwave Program Management Analyst in Huntsville, AL.


Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following): Serve as a Program Analyst/Integrator for the High-Power Microwave Branch, Directed Energy Division, Technical Center, US Army Space and Missile Defense Command U.S. Primary responsibilities in support of the division include:


  • Responsible for assisting program lead with assessing, preparing, and providing mission short- and long-range goals, mission and calendars, objectives, and initiatives to be presented to senior leadership.
  • Assist in Program Management of the projects and efforts that are part of the High Powered Microwave Branch or other efforts as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in organizational staff calls, stand-ups, office tag-ups, working groups, ad hoc, IPTs or similar venues; assess action items from meetings and engage in the resolution process; and propose responses to inquiries based on actions assigned. Prepare notes or after-action summaries, track actions items, and make recommendations on response for closure.
  • Work with material developers to maintain situational awareness and progress of instrumentation build, testing and utilization of one-off equipment and/or prototypes.
  • Take part in meetings/briefings, ensure information is passed between the material developer and the government customer.
  • Maintain task tracker, take appropriate actions to complete taskers, track taskers suspense completion date and follow-up until completed.
  • Assist with daily office operations and prioritization of events based on known activities or guidance provided such as synchronization and integration of events and activities for the division through coordination, consolidation, and collaboration of information.
  • Provide recommendations to resolve issues or conflicts; coordinate impacts and changes, receiving direction from senior program managers.
  • Create, compose, consolidate, and review documentation, e.g., correspondence, briefings, response to inquiries, and talking points for correctness, format, spelling, and grammar before sending out for approval or signature. Draft response to taskers, RFIs, and other key stakeholders.
  • Support program updates and assist in developing executive-level briefings, including accomplishments, impacts, risks, issues, and challenges, etc.; coordinate documents, e.g., white papers; conduct pre-meetings to prepare and distribute read-ahead; and secure approval of documents within read ahead timelines prior to submission for executive forums.
  • Assist with special projects where multiple functions are involved, coordinating actions, clarifying responsibilities and timelines for completion, and consolidating data, as necessary, and reviews to ensure accomplishment of objectives, timeliness, and acceptability. Consistently developing and sustaining cooperative working relationships and ensuring visitor authorization requests (VARS) are prepared, when needed.
  • Assist in the efficient operations/administration of the Project Office.


Qualifications:


  • Must have a Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of related experience.
  • Must be Proficienct in MS Office.
  • Must have previous experience working with DA Civilians and military organizations.
  • Must have experience working internal/external taskers.
  • Must have program management experience.
  • Muts have experience developing information papers and decision briefings.
  • Must have experience working on or with IPTs.


Desired Qualifications:


  • Previous military or DA Civilian, preferred.
  • Background program management and reporting, preferred.
  • Familiar with MS Project and other Program Management Tools, preferred.
  • Previous liaison experience, preferred.
  • Ability to work in dynamic high-paced work environment, preferred.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, preferred.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills, preferred.


Security Requirements:


  • Must have a DoD Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.


Travel Requirements:


  • Minimal Travel; 10% or less.
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:


  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
