What is the Opportunity? EIMR Mission: To provide best-in-class non-financial risk management expertise for Information Management Risk (including Reporting Risk) across the enterprise to protect RBC and our clients.
Related EIMR Goals * Support the Director, Data Quality Assurance and Analytics (DQAA) to develop a sustainable information management risk program to provide independent oversight and effective challenge. * Assist the Director, DQAA in conducting effective review & challenge and continuous monitoring on the First Line of Defense (1LoD) Data Quality Assurance testing and reporting. What will you do?
Support the Director, DQAA to establish a framework for conducting effective review & challenge and continuous monitoring on the First Line of Defense (1LoD) Data Quality Assurance testing and reporting Engage with key stakeholders to gather information for identification of emerging data quality/gaps risks in daily operation of the business. Communicate risks to stakeholders in structured, meaningful manner Lead the development of 2LoD processes for ownership, accountability, metrics and analytics required for the scope of work including defining the engagement model across all key parties involved Execute data quality review and oversight activities using a risk-based approach with a defined scope for key regulatory reports Engage in communication with Internal Audit on relevant 2LoD activities Facilitate discussions of complex issues, resolve ambiguity, and reach agreement on resolution and remediation plans Assist in the development of the communication strategy and presentation materials and the communications with key stakeholders on 2LoD project activities Provide functional expertise to assist project managers in coordination and execution of 2LoD tasks, status and management of project issues, risks and dependencies Escalate operational risks and issues and control deficiencies on a timely basis Assist in the creation and development of sustainable templates for documenting the methodology used, capturing assessment results, communicating findings for 2LoD DQAA oversight activities Assist in defining and managing the evidential requirements for supporting the execution of 2LoD data governance and oversight activities Assist in defining the interaction and reliance model with Internal Audit regarding the review and challenge on DQAA approach for key regulatory reports Assist in defining the interaction and reliance model with Internal Audit regarding the review and challenge on 1LoD Data Quality/Gaps remediation processes to Key U.S. regulatory reports Proactively contribute to the build-out of EIMR 2LoD services, including development of content knowledge and facilitation of training sessions Ensure appropriate information is shared timely with impacted EIMR leads and resources in relation to 2LoD activities over U.S. regulatory reports Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, driving performance management, supporting career development and rewarding strong performance Support other ad hoc CUSO data risk management activities as needed
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 7+ years of progressive experience managing cross function initiatives to drive policy, regulatory, and business change in complex organizations. Proficiency dealing with Data Quality remediation with experience in overlapping and cross-over issues across functions and data domains. Strong knowledge of banking and trading data including front-to-back data flows and processing, usage, and reporting Experience in developing Data Architecture/Management/Governance solution for major financial institution Excellent collaboration and relationship management skills with the ability to manage ambiguity to drive impactful outcomes. Excellent oral communication and presentation skills with extensive experience facilitating discussion and building consensus. A genuine interest or passion for data management/data governance Proficient in project management including participating in large scale data initiatives Strong technical/analytical background Knowledge of Risk Management and data management operations such as critical data elements, data lineage, data accuracy and completeness and data controls Understanding of technical data concepts such as data ingestion, data warehouse, data lakes, master reference data, data models, systems of record, aggregation layer and reporting systems Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and identify impact to existing work

The expected salary range for this particular position is $110,000-$190,000 (New Jersey), depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs. You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
