Summary

The Business Systems Architect is responsible for designing and implementing information systems that support C1's business objectives. This position must possess a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills to bridge the gap between business requirements and technological solutions. This role is responsible for highly strategic planning, design, evaluation as well as risk management while simultaneously interacting with various key stakeholders throughout the enterprise to ensure business needs are met and consistent with the overall company strategy.



Responsibilities

Essential Functions

    Partners with the necessary teams to fully understand business scope and implement sustainable, cost-effective solutions, adhering to the company's strategic direction and standards
  • System Design: Develops comprehensive system architectures to meet business needs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency
  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborates with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for system development
  • Integration: Oversees the integration of various business systems, ensuring seamless communication and data flow across different departments or functions
  • Technology Evaluation: Stays updated on emerging technologies, assess their relevance to the organization, and make recommendations for adoption
  • Strategic Planning: Aligns system architecture with the overall business strategy, contributing to the development and execution of IT strategies that support organizational goals
  • Collaboration: Works closely with cross-functional teams, including IT professionals, business analysts, and management, to ensure alignment between technology solutions and business needs
  • Risk Management: Identifies and addresses potential security and compliance risks associated with system architecture, implementing measures to mitigate these risks
  • Documentation: Creates and maintains detailed documentation of system architectures, processes, and configurations to facilitate understanding and future enhancements, including roadmap planning
  • Problem Resolution: Provides expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues, collaborating with relevant teams to implement solutions
  • Change Management: Manages the impact of changes in business processes or technology, ensuring a smooth transition for end-users and minimizing disruptions
  • Training and Support: Develops training materials and provide support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively use and maximize the benefits of implemented systems
  • Quality Assurance: Implements and enforces best practices for system development, ensuring the quality and reliability of deployed solutions
  • Metrics and KPIs: Defines and establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of business processes and the achievement of strategic goals
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Promotes a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by exploring and recommending new technologies and business practices that enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to evaluate and select solutions that align with business architecture and strategic objectives
  • Communication: Communicates complex concepts and technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of business architecture concepts
  • Works with team to lead and participate in periodic peer reviews of solution designs and related business processes
  • Creates process flowcharts, diagrams, and other related documentation
  • Participates in the design process of new features and enhancements to existing software
  • Maintains a broad and thorough understanding of current Data Engineering techniques, methodologies, tools, and technologies
  • Proposes, implements feasible solutions or processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of applications
  • Diagnoses and solves technical problems related to project implementation and ongoing maintenance
  • Works independently and delivers on agreed upon timelines
  • Analyzes end-user needs and designs, tests, and develops software to satisfy demand
  • Diagnoses issues, evaluates, and recommends the best resolution plan and executing against that plan
  • Provides database integrations/data migrations between applications
  • Completes role specific training, certifications, or attend industry events as assigned by the manager on an annual basis


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other business related field
* 8 + years' experience with Business process architecture or advanced Business Analysis
* Experience with ERP, ITMS and CRM systems
* 8 + years' experience managing reporting and dashboard solutions.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired/Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree
* Experience in Agile development
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience of software engineering principles, methodologies, and procedures
* Knowledge of architecture tools
* Experience leading Business Analysts

Pay Range

$98,000 - $110,000

Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
