Scope of Position The Ohio State University is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients and staff. The Support Analyst position for Medical Center Security Access Control Lock Shop, functions to support and manage the technology-based systems, resources, and services required to maintain a proper working environment. The Support Analyst will also provide a broad-based support for hardware, software, production operations, and customer support. This also including but not limited to system maintenance, user-support, and training throughout the Medical Center and other hospital occupied properties. Duties and Responsibilities 60% of time Electronic Access Control and Systems Management Works with the multiple system users and area access approvers to process the daily access requests through the internal access request ticket system. This operation includes but is not limited to: updating cardholder access profiles by adding, removing, and configuring access expirations, creating and updating access levels, processing daily employee termination reports, processing monthly access group audits. This position also includes alarm testing and programming as part of the hardware install certification process for all construction projects requiring access control hardware components, and systems troubleshooting as part of the hardware repair process. Communicates other official business matters to the Access Control Manager, and other Security Managers as needed. 20% of time - Maintenance Tasks Works to maintain the integrity of all hardware and software as well as the proper operation of all systems, including but not limited to support, and services required for maintaining a proper working environment. Including installation of hardware and/or software as well as trouble-shooting, scheduling and performing routine maintenance and installing, maintaining, servicing key cores, Best card readers, Matrix, Genetec, Wireless Card Readers and Electronic Keybox devices as well as any other equipment related to the securing of the facility, and serve as a liaison with users. Will attend vendor provided training sessions as necessary, and will provide general support to the Medical Center Security operation when necessary. 15% of time - Technical Support Works with the multiple system users including the Facilities Services personnel and outside vendors to repair and educate individuals on the correct operation and maintenance of system functions. Will work to resolve problems and identify needs while providing and suggesting methods of departmental improvements and customer satisfaction. 5% of time - Other Departmental Functions Works to perform other duties as necessary.
