What You Will Do:

• Lead and/or support as appropriate the origination, qualification, and development of greenfield opportunities, including solar, wind and storage projects.
• Build and support development strategies and lead in their execution.
• Conduct preliminary feasibility assessments, including site evaluation and resource and regulatory analysis to determine project viability and potential risks.
• Support site control negotiations with landowners, including leases, easements and mineral rights waivers for all vital project real estate rights to construct and operate renewable projects.
• Support the permitting process by coordinating with regulatory authorities, preparing permit applications, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations to attain all necessary approvals.
• Maintain positive relationships with landowners, local communities, government agencies, and other partners to facilitate project development and address any concerns.
• Travel up to 50%.

Who You Are:

• You possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as real estate, engineering, environmental sciences, business administration, or a related field.
• 7 years or more experience in renewable energy project development. Experience with utility-scale project development is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in project management tools and GIS software is an asset.
• A proactive and entrepreneurial demeanor with a passion for sustainability and the renewable energy industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
• Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and early understanding of regulatory frameworks.

Physical requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
