Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory & Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and availability across the organization. The successful candidate will oversee key processes such as item data setup, bills of materials (BOM), forecasting, cycle counting, and the introduction of new products. This position requires a strong background in ERP systems, inventory management practices, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, finance, manufacturing, and R&D.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Set up and maintain accurate item and assembly data in the ERP system, including costing, attributes, product status, and product information.
- Own the monthly review of excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory; analyze root causes, develop mitigation plans, and deliver reports with actionable recommendations.
- Participate in daily and weekly production planning meetings to ensure effective flow of inventory across raw materials, work orders, and finished goods.
- Manage cycle count program in coordination with logistics; investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions with monthly reporting.
- Lead operations team review of forecast processes; maintain production forecasts, provide analysis, and identify risks with resolution plans.
- Manage finished goods inventory across multiple warehouses to balance customer demand with cost efficiency.
- Maintain and update BOMs and routing structures for sub-assemblies and finished goods.
- Support Phase In/Phase Out material programs and ensure accurate coding of new products within ERP systems.
- Partner with Manufacturing and Master Planning to analyze and manage Kanban quantities, providing root cause analysis of stockouts and inventory issues.
- Drive continuous improvement of inventory control processes, reporting quarterly on progress, accuracy, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Provide backup support to Master Scheduler/Planner when required.
- Support cross-functional company projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in ERP master data, manufacturing planning, purchasing, and materials management.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (mid to advanced level).
- Experience with inventory control practices, including LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Background in managing Kanbans and Phase In/Phase Out processes for components and finished goods.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with SAGE MAS500 is a plus).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM certification preferred.
