Closing Date: September 23rd, 2025, or upon receipt of the first 50 applicant submissions Community Intervention Specialist Department of Health and Human Services Hourly Range: $28.22 - $32.85 The Milwaukee County Department of Health & Human Services has established a county-wide goal to improve equitable service delivery and develop an organizational culture of equity. The department is working to ensure that every employee has the knowledge, skills, and resources to address racial disparities and inequities which impact many of our most vulnerable customers, who are children, youth, and their families. Job Summary: The Community Intervention Specialist (CIS) serves as a link between the Children, Youth, and Family Services (CYFS) department and local violence reduction efforts. This role is responsible for providing administrative grant support to the Community Violence Intervention (CVI) Program Manager, coordinating community engagement activities and events, as well as collaborate with community members, partners, and stakeholders across Milwaukee County. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of youth justice; knowledge of case management; knowledge of data entry policy and procedures; ability to engage with community stakeholders; ability to work with individuals with a wide range of needs; ability to push, pull, lift, carry up to 10lbs as needed.
