Maintenance Manager

STS Technical Services is hiring a Maintenance Manager in Savannah, Georgia.

The Maintenance Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team to deliver the highest levels of customer service in a cost-effective manner. This position requires hands-on leadership, managing both facility operations and employees while also performing the duties of a Class A Mechanic.

Candidates must have a strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems.

• Professionally, efficiently, and cost effectively manage and maintain the operational readiness of the terminal fleet
  
• Enforce and maintain safety standards, policies, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations
  
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of records, files, and required documents
  
• Monitor the parts room to ensure adequate supply, inventory control, and replenishment of parts as needed
  
• Work extended hours when deadlines must be met
  
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  
• Perform other duties as assigned

  Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Cummins, Solomon, and Internet/Outlook

  
  

• Current and valid driver's license
  
• TWIC Card
  
• Forklift operator certification
  

This position requires regular customer interaction. Strong tact, professionalism, and communication skills are essential to success. A minimum of five years of supervisory experience is required.
