Position Summary Equipment Materials and Instrumentation Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of medical equipment and facilities within the department of Interventional Services. This role plays a vital role in assisting the department with the administration and coordination of all OR equipment, electronics, biomedical, audio/visual, and surgical equipment. The supervisor works closely with Biomedical Engineering and Facilities teams to assist with system upgrades, routine maintenance, service contract tracking, and equipment repairs, ensuring all OR technology functions reliably to support high-quality patient care. The Equipment Supervisor helps monitor contract compliance and supports pricing negotiations for Perioperative Services equipment. The supervisor assists the department Manager in preparation of the operating and capital budget, controls expenditures in equipment, and contributes to programs for better cost containment, patient relations activities, and vendor management and compliance. The supervisor serves as a resource for perioperative personnel in matters such as purchasing procedures, product information, and contract compliance. The supervisor requires professional behavior and requires excellent problem solving, diligent decision making, and strong communication skills with various disciplines both within and outside of the organization. Education Minimum of bachelor's degree in related field. Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in related setting. Skills - Motivating, and mentoring individuals and teams -Trouble shooting, critical thinking, prioritization, and organization -Effective written and oral communication with ability to lead meetings and provide project oversight - Ability to perform work-lead responsibilities such as training and orienting new employees, assigning and reviewing work for completeness and accuracy, scheduling work, and other coordinating and support duties under the direction of the manager. Demonstrates to the Business manager the ability to provide technical guidance and equipment demonstrations to clinical staff. - Ability to respond with flexibility to unusual and emergent situations, remain calm in stressful and emergency situations, work different shifts and schedules as needed, work overtime when directed by management - Ability to learn and evaluate new equipment, supplies, and procedures quickly.
