Processing Operator- Weekend Night

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Processing Operator to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on Weekend Night Shift.

As a Processing Operator, this candidate will be responsible for preparing, operating, and monitoring extruder and related equipment for cheese curls and balls production lines. This position works Friday-Sunday 5:25PM-5:25AM.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares and operates all extruders and slurry application machinery.
• Prepares and operates popcorn processing and slurry application machinery.
• Prepares and operates mixers, fryers, sheeters and product blenders.
• Monitors quality of all product through direct testing and coordination with Quality Assurance personnel.
• Retrieves raw materials needed for production.
• Maintains complete, accurate, and legible records or log sheets as required.
• Enters accurate component usage into the computer at end of shift.
• Ensures safe and effective cleaning of all processing equipment according to established procedures and the master sanitation schedule.
• Communicates with processing and packaging operators to ensure best quality product.
• Trains inexperienced employees assigned to processing.
• Responsible to follow all safety rules and work safely at all times, report unsafe equipment and practices to supervisor and adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Must have the ability to operate a forklift, high reach, and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Regularly exposed to hazards of hot water, cleaning chemicals, and wet, slippery floors.
• Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Performs daily housekeeping of area.
