This is a paid internship; however, the intern must provide their own housing and transportation. Business related transportation and expenses will be paid by the organization. This intern will work full-time through the summer of 2026, and part-time during the following school year up until graduation. The internship is located out of either our Lakeville, Mankato, or Rochester, MN office locations, or our Baldwin or Eau Claire, WI office locations.

The contributions you will make:

This internship will provide hands-on experience in the data analytics field. Ideal for juniors or non-graduating seniors in college. The intern will learn how to query, model, and analyze data, regarding the financial strength and credit worthiness of clients.

A typical day:

• Collect, model, and analyze data to support business decision-making.
• Partner with internal Compeer data focused on financial strength and creditworthiness, as well as external macroeconomic datasets.
• Contribute to key team projects, either collaboratively or independently.
• Assist in initiatives focused on cost containment and operational efficiency.
• Utilize tools such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, and Microsoft Excel.
• Develop professional relationships and explore potential full-time career opportunities.

The skills and experience we prefer you have:

• Must be working towards completing a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Coursework or experience in data analytics, modeling, or financial analysis preferred.
• Proficiency in using PowerBI, Microsoft Excel or other data analytics tools preferred.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and deliver excellent client service.

How we will take care of you:

Actual hourly rate offered is dependent upon year in school, work experience, transferable skills, business needs and market demands. The hourly rate range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
