Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Electronic Warfare Range / Warfare Site Manager to oversee operations, maintenance, and training support at a Department of Defense (DoD) aircraft training range. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership, technical expertise in electronic warfare systems, and strong coordination skills to ensure mission readiness, safety compliance, and effective support to military stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience




  • High school diploma or equivalent





  • Six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in electronic warfare range operations and maintenance





  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience





  • Site management experience on DoD aircraft training ranges within the past five (5) years




Security Clearance




  • Active Secret clearance required




Knowledge & Abilities




  • Strong knowledge of electronic warfare range operations policies, directives, and procedures





  • Skilled in oral and written communication for briefings, reports, and coordination with military and civilian stakeholders





  • Proficient in general computer systems, including Air Force databases, word processing, and graphics applications





  • Capable of working under pressure with tact and diplomacy in sensitive situations





  • Department of Labor Electronic Technician Level II or Air Force 5-level equivalent experience




Licenses & Certifications




  • Valid state driver's license required





  • No additional certifications required





Duties & Responsibilities




  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of the range and remote sites, ensuring compliance with contractual and safety standards





  • Direct range support services including scheduling, logistics, and coordination of training exercises and site surveys





  • Deliver briefings on range capabilities, safety procedures, and munitions handling to units, contractors, and stakeholders





  • Manage munitions storage requests and assist with site planning in coordination with safety personnel and QAP





  • Maintain current personnel records and implement training, security, and conservation programs to protect staff and assets





  • Supervise, train, and assign tasks to personnel while ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations





  • Evaluate support requests, determine resource needs, and ensure maintenance activities do not impact mission readiness





  • Monitor quality, cost, and performance across all range functions





  • Coordinate proposed range closures with the Range Operating Agency (ROA)





  • Attend weekly operations meetings and represent the range at staff briefings and ACC conferences





  • Provide host base Pass and ID office, via the COR, with access lists for official business





  • Remain available within two hours during and after scheduled operations to address issues with Government personnel





  • Perform other duties as assigned
