Duties: Drive external and internal testing requests related to test execution, including application level setup within ENCORE system, creating testing inputs, initiating and monitoring the applicable processes, and confirming the resulting outbound data files and reports are produced. Drive the team responsible for design and development of tests for Encore/ETS/Data Platform applications. Attend high level design sessions, code walk-throughs and offer suggestions, and guidance on any topic that could have a negative impact. Work on Agile team throughout the Lifecycle to collaborate on the analysis, design, development and testing. Actively participate in Sprint planning session and assist in creating stories with robust acceptance criteria while helping identify missing or incomplete requirements. Manage secure data transfers and file validations using PuTTY(SSH), WinSCP, or FileZilla to support consistent server interaction and maintain data accuracy. Test database functionality, data integrity and business logic across various relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Squirrel SQL Client, Hadoop(Hive), SQL Server to ensure accurate backend validation and reliable dataflow. Use Alteryx or Informatica PowerCenter 10.1 to execute ETL workflows, validate schema mappings, and ensure data integrity through advanced SQL verification. Attend daily scrum standup and report testing issues. Provide key inputs during retrospective meetings. Create test data, detailed test cases for validating business functions and regression testing. Clearly articulate verbally and in writing the specifics around defects. Monitor and update defect reports as needed to ensure timely problem resolution. Review User stories for sprint with users and obtain user approval before sprint is closed. Conduct regression, integration, and systems testing on newly designed or modified applications/systems. Perform application and project risk analysis and recommend quality improvements. Assist production support bytesting time sensitive defects and providing advice on system functionality. Participate in the communication and analysis of test results and patterns, providing a feedback loop to requirements gathering, design and development teams. Identify, evaluate, and recommend automation testing tools. Provide accurate timelines to stakeholders and make sure deadlines are met without affecting the quality of the product. Responsible for continuously improving the QA process and technologies. Design test plans, execute testcases, and track defects, ensuring end-to-end test coverage and traceability with SpiraTest or HP ALM. Drive and maintain automation efforts across multiple areas.
