Class A Harbor/Drayage/Port Driver

Ports of Los Angeles/Long Beach, CA

Temp-to-Hire

Pay: $32/hr straight time (no overtime)

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday (flexibility for Fridays/Saturdays as needed)

About the Role:

We're seeking a Class A Driver to transport container loads to and from the ports of Los Angeles/Long Beach and deliver to customer locations or yard facilities. This position requires navigating port/harbor areas safely and following all associated regulations. Work schedules are primarily Sunday through Thursday, with flexibility needed based on ship arrivals and customer demands.

What You'll Do:



  • Pick up and deliver containers between LA/Long Beach ports and customer sites or yards
  • Safely navigate port and harbor areas, following proper procedures and rules
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customer
  • Adapt to variable schedules including Fridays and Saturdays as required by operations


Requirements:



  • Minimum 1 year of Class A CDL driving experience as a port/harbor driver within the past 3 year
  • Valid Class A CDL license
  • TWIC card and current medical car
  • No more than 2 moving violations and/or accidents in the past 3 years
  • No DUI, reckless driving, or serious moving violations in the past 5 years
  • Must be 22 years of age or older


Preferred Experience



  • Stable work history (no more than 3 employers in the past 3 years)
  • Excellent driving record (no more than 1 moving violation or accident)
  • More than 2 years of port/harbor driving experience
  • Strong verbal communication and professionalism on the job
