Description Systems Engineer Telephony (Expert) - Temporary Huntsville, AL 35808 Job Type: Full Time Temporary Location: On-Site Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Security Requirements: US Citizen eligible for Public Trust Access Anakim Consulting Inc. has an opening for an expert level Systems Engineer with Microsoft Telephony experience to work onsite in support of complex network environment. The Systems Engineer will perform a variety of engineering tasks in support of a transition from the current Cisco Telephony users for both Cisco desk phones and Cisco Jabber client users to the Microsoft Telephony platform. Qualified candidates will have the ability to work as part of a collaborative engineering team and support independent tasks, as assigned. This position requires an analyst mindset and the ability to show attention to detail for troubleshooting, hands-on tasks, and supporting documentation. Project Timeline: This is a temporary position (full-time W2 salary + benefits) supporting a limited term transition project. The anticipated completion date is on or before June 2026. Responsibilities include: Provide expert-level systems engineering support to a government customer to support a variety of engineering tasks for a telephony transition project. Apply expert knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures to ensure task completion for E911 compliance, integrating with E911 service providers and validating accurate location information for all users. Provide analysis related to the design, development and integration for system level requirements to support defined project goals for an IT solution. Develop integrated system test requirements, strategies, devices and systems. Direct overall system testing, as assigned. Maintain responsibility for completing assigned projects within budget and scheduling guidelines. Follow pre-defined process and workflow. Support on-site work schedule. Other duties, as assigned. Position Requirements Basic Qualifications: U.S. citizenship (no dual citizenship) Ability to obtain security access approval (Public Trust level) Expert level systems engineering experience working with network engineering including expertise with Microsoft Telephony platform Bachelor's degree with 12 years of related experience including: Experience with Microsoft Telephony communication and collaboration features Experience integrating Enhanced 911 (E911) including location information and validation to meet compliance requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to relay technical information to non-technical users Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently, as assigned Availability to support on-site work schedule at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with one or more Microsoft Telephony platform migration(s) is a plus Experience with Cisco Telephony platform migration(s) is a plus Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Position Microsoft Telephony Expert - Temporary About the Organization Anakim Consulting is a privately held small company that provides growth opportunities for employees.
