We have an opportunity for a Buyer Analyst to join our Materials team in New Brighton MN. As part of the Pentair Spray & Specialty business, a global leader in spray technology and fluid motion, you'll play a key role in procurement, purchasing, and materials planning activities. In this role, you will work alongside a team of supply chain professionals to ensure the correct number of materials and components are purchased to meet the optimal delivery schedule, while also maintaining target inventory levels.

** This is a salaried position, and you will work on-site, Monday-Friday, in New Brighton, MN. **

You will:

  • Manage the procurement and purchasing business cycle, from purchase order placement, confirmation, invoice payment, to supplier performance, and documentation of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Build and maintain positive vendor and supplier relationships, resolving procurement, accounting, and quality issues.
  • Analyze material requirements and inventory using Plan for Every Part (PFEP) to maintain on-time-delivery (OTD) and targeted inventory levels.
  • Identify cost, quality, and supply chain trends, developing forward-looking strategies for assigned commodities and spend categories.
  • Participate in New Product Development (NPD) projects and product change orders (PCO), ensuring supply continuity and minimizing excess/obsolete inventory.
  • Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives in supplier performance, material availability, and inventory.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have earned a bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in supply chain operations, business management, or a related field is preferred, not required.
  • Have 2-3 years of buyer, procurement, or purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) for purchasing/production planning, such as the Procure-to-Pay (PTP) and the Plan-to-Manufacture (P2M) workstreams.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, purchasing, logistics, incoming product inspection, inventory control, PFEP (Plan for Every Part), and continuous improvement or Lean practices.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills at both strategic and functional levels.
  • Strong customer service skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel skills.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200 - $113600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with a demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
