Short Description Conduct interviews with patients and families to insure insurance coverage which includes General knowledge of medical insurance, billing and prior authorizations General knowledge of state and federal medical assistance and health services programs preferred. Ability to organize, take independent action and project Cooper values to customers and co-workers. Experienced in scheduling, front desk, and basic knowledge of ambulatory billing Bilingual always a plus Experience Required 2 years insurance verification or registration experience in a hospital or physician office. Knowledge of medical insurance and billing requirements. Proficient in Flowcast, HQ, eCAOS, MISYS, Spheris. Knowledge of state and federal medical assistance and health services programs preferred. Ability to organize, take independent action and project Cooper values to customers and co-workers. Experienced in cardiology scheduling, front desk, and basic knowledge of hospital/physician coding. Bilingual preferred. Education Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent required Special Requirements Computer EPIC training program to include: Registration, Scheduling, documenting and other programs as required. Skilled in use of computers and software applications, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, registration and billing systems. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Be willing to engage in cooperative, professional relationships with all members of the interprofessional healthcare team. At all times ensures a high level of customer service by providing patient confidentiality and care in accordance with the Patient's Bill of Rights. Hourly Rate Min $20
Hourly Rate Max $31
