Job Description

The Office of Human Resources provides leadership in the planning, integration, and implementation of human resource services and programs for faculty, staff, and retirees across all campuses and the health system. Collectively with our campus colleagues, we serve as a strategic and trusted advisor for centralized services including benefits, compensation and retirement.

As part of the Benefits team, this position provides essential support to daily human resources processing, serving over 50,000 active & separated employees, retirees, beneficiaries and dependents.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze and update data in PeopleSoft to ensure benefit eligibility and enrollment discrepancies through On Demand processing to ensure accuracy. Presented with multiple reports for data analysis and error correction that require in-depth research and resolution based on standard practices, written policy and consistent procedure.
  • Analyze and correct discrepancies received on a weekly report that identifies errors across all benefit plans that affects employee plan enrollment eligibility, vendor file data and employee benefits administration data.
  • Works cross-functionally with Benefits HRIS specialists in performing system testing for set up changes to ensure system is processing as it should. Identify improvement recommendations and participate on policy work teams, contributing knowledge of PeopleSoft, benefits processes and policies. Maintain communications with appropriate stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Review vendor reporting (Medical, Dental, Vision and Medicare Advantage Plan) and conduct internal audits to ensure accurate information is sent on eligibility files. Correct data and/or inform vendor of correct enrollment information as necessary.
  • Generate routine queries to identify life plan inconsistencies and errors as well as Annual Benefits Base Rate (ABBR) discrepancies. Communicate with campuses and oversee correction process by internal teams.
  • Review and update Annual Benefits Base Rate (ABBR) for commissioned employee population on all campuses.

As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected in order to support the mission and purpose of the University of Missouri.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00pm

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three years of human resources office experience demonstrating knowledge of basic employment laws, exceptional customer service and organizational skills.

Excel spreadsheet skills with experience with v-lookup and pivot tables is preferred, attention to detail, accuracy and ability to follow through independently. PeopleSoft experience is helpful.

Team player with interpersonal, customer service and communication skills. Proven analytic and problem- solving skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Works autonomously and uses sound judgment.

Familiarity with university systems and human resources policies or equivalent.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $21.71 - $30.90 per hour
