Overview
The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) is seeking a Financial Manager III to join the Federal Programming section of our Division of Finance and Administration. This role is essential in overseeing fiscal operations for federally funded programs that support Vermont's transportation system. The Financial Manager will be responsible for monitoring project financial status, maintaining and updating databases, preparing reports, and working closely with project development staff to ensure accuracy and compliance. Strong skills in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Access, are required. Experience with federal aid highway project funding is highly desirable. This position is based in an office setting with the option for a hybrid telework schedule, subject to approval. Who May Apply

Work is performed in a standard office setting. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a bachelor's degree in any discipline that includes or is supplemented by 20 credit hours in accounting AND three (3) or more years of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience INCLUDING experience managing programs, funding sources or staff. OR Bachelor's degree in any discipline AND five (5) or more years of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience INCLUDING experience managing programs, funding sources or staff. OR Associate's degree AND seven (7) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff. OR High School diploma AND nine (9) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff. OR One years as a Financial Manager II with the State of Vermont. Special Requirements
