General Summary:



  • Develops and manages the activities of the Hospital-wide Infection Control Program to minimize the risk of infection to patients, employees, and visitors.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organizational and decision-making skills, the ability to function independently and to communicate effectively with all members of the organization's healthcare team.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related healthcare field
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: If nurse, current Maryland licensure as RN or ASCP certification as Medical Technologist.
  • Infection Control experience, OR Nursing experience, OR Medical Technologist experience in an acute-care setting
  • 2 years' experience in Infection Control in a hospital setting is highly preferred.
  • CIC is preferred (or will be required within 2 years of hire)


Salary Range: Minimum 39.75/hour - Maximum 65.56/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
