About the Role

Our client is seeking a Data Scientist II
to join their growing team. This role will focus on biomarker-related data initiatives while leveraging cutting-edge AI tools, particularly Generative AI
and Natural Language Processing (NLP). The ideal candidate will bring strong Python programming
skills, solid scientific acumen, and a collaborative mindset to support two key project areas within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply Generative AI
    and NLP techniques
    to analyze, interpret, and extract insights from complex biomarker data sets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize data-driven solutions in support of biomarker discovery and development.
  • Build, test, and deploy models, algorithms, and workflows to support ongoing scientific and clinical projects.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to translate scientific questions into technical solutions.
  • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.



Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelors, Master's degree, or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field.
  • Strong Python programming skills, with proven experience applying AI/ML models.
  • Hands-on expertise in Generative AI
    and NLP frameworks(e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI APIs, Transformers).
  • Familiarity with biomarker data(any therapeutic area; ophthalmology experience is a plus).
  • Strong statistical and machine learning background with experience handling large-scale biomedical datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

  • Domain knowledge in ophthalmology
    or vision sciences is a big plus.
  • Experience with cloud-based ML environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Prior work in pharma, biotech, or healthcare data environments.



Estimated Min Rate: $65.50
Estimated Max Rate: $85.00
