Job Summary

The Field Services Technician is responsible for the overall success of inventory distribution for product implementations, as well as the overall success of OEM upgrades.

Duties & Responsibilities



  • Implementation Preparation and Organization;
  • Masimo Performed OEM Partner Device Upgrades;
  • Management and tracking of Devices and Equipment;
  • Inventory Control Management;
  • Go-Live - Inventory Control of devices & equipment during roll-out, following pre-determined roll out plan;
  • Inventory Completion;
  • Decommissioning of equipment;
  • Logistical control of unused and decommissioned equipment;
  • Masimo Equipment Upgrades;
  • Equipment assembly and bracketing;
  • Strengths in organization and working individually and within Team environments;
  • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time;
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs;
  • Performs other duties or special projects as requested;



Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications



  • Working knowledge of Pulse Oximetry and equipment configuration;
  • Knowledge of the hospital environment and key personnel within medical care areas;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams;
  • Proven experience of being a liaison between corporate clinical specialists and hospital biomedical engineers;
  • Field Experience in implementing Pulse Oximetry equipment into the hospital environment;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word and Excel);
  • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time;
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs;


Preferred Qualifications



  • Working knowledge of ESD standard practices;
  • Experience handling and replacing electronics and ESD sensitive equipment;
  • Working knowledge of installing/upgrading software packages;
  • Medical training background;
  • Working knowledge of Patient Safety Systems;


Education

High School diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Compensation

The anticipated range for this position is $30- $36 per hour. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in hospital and hospital-like environments, including, but not limited to, patient rooms, data centers, Biomed shops, etc. It requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and lifting. Team members must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand or sit for extended periods when installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and upgrading Masimo products, facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Frequent local and domestic travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required. Occasional international travel may be necessary, so the ability to obtain a valid passport may be required.
