How You'll Contribute to the Team:

The Senior Regional Facilities Manager partners with executive leadership and cross-functional colleagues to set the vision for best in class facilities operations for the student housing portfolio. This hands-on role will lead the implementation of facilities strategic plans, providing both support and oversight to the Regional Facilities Managers and local operations teams charged with day-to-day execution. The Senior Regional Facilities Manager is further accountable for expense control by leveraging portfolio economies of scale for bid management and contracting. The ability to drive operational continuity and consistency of preventative maintenance and facilities management programs, while supporting safety and compliance initiatives across all student housing partnerships, is at the forefront of this role.

Primary Responsibilities Include:



  • Thoroughly understand the vision, contractual agreements and roles and responsibilities for each partnership related to building and facility performance and operations.
  • Support the VP and RVP, Property Operations to develop, implement, and execute strategic plans and annual goals for the Maintenance function.
  • Implement all policies and procedures as authorized Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Work within guidelines, policies, and budgets for the campus ensuring continuity and consistent compliance across all partnerships.
  • Work with on-site Maintenance Managers and Maintenance Supervisors to ensure all physical aspects of the property are fully functional, safe, and attractive. Report unsatisfactory findings to RVP.
  • Work closely with the Vice President, Property Operations - Higher Ed to assist in identifying and executing capital and reinvestment projects.
  • Evaluate and monitor a broad spectrum of maintenance activities; gather and analyze portfolio data to identify trends and provide information on maintenance operations and recommend and develop programs for process improvements; identify industry best practices and communicate proposed process improvements to the RVPs of Property Operations for implementation.
  • Streamline maintenance processes across the portfolio to promote customer service, maximize occupancy, achieve financial goals, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Evaluate the strengths and areas for improvement within the maintenance team and develop and implement targeted training to enhance skills and overall team performance.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Managers and Supervisors to set and monitor quality control benchmarks, e.g. student housing turnover, preventative maintenance, system functionality.
  • Develop and communicate Corvias' procurement strategy for leveraging portfolio economies of scale; establish, communicate, and implement long-term goals for property operations to promote effectiveness, efficiency, and cost savings.
  • Monitor national accounts for common maintenance products and services to ensure competitive pricing of maintenance supplies and resources across the portfolio.
  • Support portfolio-wide contract development and administration; assist with developing bids and proposals for maintenance vendor services across the portfolio.
  • Develop and provide guidance on defining consistent scopes of work and schedules across the portfolio for routine service contracts.
  • Compile a variety of reports related to the maintenance operations of the individual campuses to help monitor progress meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Travel to partnerships locations to provide support as needed.
  • This position is deemed Key & Essential and, as such, may be required to work onsite beforehand, during, and after any accident, emergency, or disaster to best protect and care for our residents and assets.
  • Support the engagement and performance of APPA inspections with APPA inspectors and develop work plan to repair, replace or otherwise remedy deficiencies identified during APPA inspections.
  • Identify, plan, and execute work to help ensure Key Performance Metrics for the Projects are met.
  • Support the Director, Risk, Compliance, & Safety by ensuring maintenance teams across the portfolio adhere to EHS standard operating procedures. Identify skill and knowledge gaps where additional training is needed.
  • Model the highest standards of business professionalism; lead the training and development of team members through coaching, motivating, and mentoring on company culture, business goals, financial management, and sound business judgment.
  • Lead the recruitment and retention of a diverse team of professionals; create accountability and ownership among team members through communication of clear expectations, supervision, and timely performance feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Role Specific Requirements Include:



  • Bachelor's degree in property management related field, relevant industry credentialing or significant relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in managing a multi-site conventional, or university housing property management portfolio with increasing levels of responsibility and 2+ years of supervisory experience; strongly prefer oversight of multi-state or geographically dispersed properties.
  • EPA Type 2 certification is required; Type 3 or universal certification is strongly preferred.
  • Proven competency and success in HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Proven ability to develop and deploy change management initiatives that streamline and modernize operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to professionally interact and relate to individuals with diverse backgrounds, including the ability to effectively resolve complex or sensitive matters.
  • Flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic and matrixed environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross functional teams and establish collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Proven history of building strategic relationships that are aligned on operational goals and focused on creating customer value.
  • Proven ability to develop, inspire, and lead high-performing and high-impact teams, including the ability to influence without hierarchical authority.
  • Must be independent, self-motivated and possess a positive attitude, operating well in a team environment that is focused on collaboration and accountability.
  • Moderate to heavy travel (50% - 75%+) is required.
  • Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; familiarity with Entrata property management software a plus.
  • Valid driver's license is required.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be $120,000 to $140,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and work location. This position is eligible for a discretionary target incentive of up to 15% of the base salary.
