None POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
The Senior Commercial Proposal Manager is responsible for leading the planning, development, and delivery of complex, high-value proposals in support of the company's strategic growth objectives. This role requires strong expertise in commercial and federal procurement processes, a deep understanding of proposal management best practices (APMP/Shipley), and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams under tight deadlines. The Senior Commercial Proposal Manager will ensure all proposals are compliant, compelling, and aligned with capture strategies. * Lead end-to-end proposal development for commercial opportunities with some support for Federal opportunities. * Manage proposal schedules, compliance matrices, and review cycles (Pink/Red/Gold) * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape content and strategy. * Ensure proposals are compliant, persuasive, and delivered on time. * Support the improvement of proposal processes, tools, and templates. * Partner with capture teams/Company Presidents to align proposals with win themes and discriminators, and approach solutioning * Coordinate inputs from capture managers, contracts, pricing, technical SMEs, HR, recruiting, and executive leadership. * Compile/Write/Integrate diverse technical and business inputs into a cohesive proposal narrative. * Review solicitations to identify compliance requirements, risks, and key evaluation factors * Facilitate effective communication and accountability across stakeholders REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, English, or related discipline. In lieu of a degree, 12 or more years of relevant experience may be considered. * Minimum 8-12 years of progressive experience in proposal management, with a focus on federal and/or commercial bids. * Demonstrated success leading proposals exceeding $100M in value (or equivalent complexity). * Knowledge of commercial contracting practices. * Expertise with proposal development methodologies (Shipley, APMP, or equivalent). * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Project; experience with proposal automation tools preferred. * Excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications or Skills * APMP Foundation, Practitioner, or Professional Certification. * Experience with Salesforce, SharePoint, or other proposal/capture management platforms. * Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
