Description and Requirements

Position Description:

The Lenovo Services and Solutions Group is experiencing tremendous growth and is hiring for WW Product Portfolio Strategy Consultant. This person will be responsible for:

Strategic alignment: align project portfolios with global, enterprise-wide strategic business objectives Risk assessment: identify risks to both short- & long-term business vision, and Prioritization: determine the strategic direction and growth priorities for the company across our portfolio of existing and new offerings. Change catalyst: lead transformation initiatives, driving alignment and value-driven choices.

In this critical role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders, including strategy, product managers, sales, customers, analysts, hardware teams to anticipate services market trends, drive transformative change across the organization, and ensure our portfolio remains agile and aligned with our strategic vision.

The ideal candidate should possess a robust device & Infrastructure services background, coupled with prior experience in strategy, portfolio, or product management. The role involves enhancing operational efficiency, driving business effectiveness, and increasing productivity by shifting focus from tactical to strategic initiatives, ultimately shaping the organization's future vision.

Success hinges on the capacity to wield influence and establish precise, comprehensive communication across all company domains and levels. The individual in this role must be able to guide the company in shifting portfolio priorities, drive impactful outcomes, and leverage real-time data to provide focused business intelligence data that allows executives to garner deep insights.

Position Requirements:

  • Develops an understanding of customers, competitors, partners, business models, market and industry trends utilizing market intelligence, competitive analytics, sales and customer feedback to formulate both a short- & long-term strategy that will expand Lenovo's Services footprint.
  • Use metrics and data visualization effectively to report portfolio performance and support decision-making at the team or organizational level.
  • Build tools, models, and slide decks to make data accessible and consumable for stakeholders.
  • Oversee strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadership.
  • Assess potential market areas & product opportunities for investment consideration.
  • Serve as liaison with staff, executives, and senior leaders, regarding the services offering portfolio for existing and new offerings.
  • Contribute to the establishment of common practices, tools, and templates for portfolio and project management, and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Prioritize offering development and create roadmaps for driving to a complete portfolio vision - may include bundling existing products into solutions as part of the portfolio.
  • Function as the input for strategic and offering ideas coming from the geography sales teams to drive a centralized offering development process.
  • Function as Lead for the Portfolio Management team
  • Create clear portfolio vision that can be utilized by marketing to create sales and customer facing documentation.
  • Assess future technology to differentiate Lenovo's Services and drive it to the forefront of the industry.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required, Masters degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of Services experience - strategy, sales, marketing, business planning.
  • 8+ years of portfolio management, product development or similar experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IDG & ISG Services business & market landscape.
  • Strong executive presence & leadership skills.
  • High level of communication & presentation skills.
  • Strong business & financial acumen.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative approach to meeting business objectives and ability to influence at all levels of matrixed organizations.
  • Experience working with global teams and conducting business internationally.
The base salary range budgeted for this position is $180,000 - $240,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions. Lenovo's various benefits can be found at www.lenovobenefits.com
