Mat Pilates Instructor - Salem YMCA

Do you have a passion for helping people build strength, flexibility, and balance through mindful movement? The Salem YMCA is seeking a Mat Pilates Instructor to lead safe, engaging, and effective classes for our members.

Mat Pilates is a no-equipment, full-body workout performed on a mat, emphasizing controlled movements, core strength, posture, and coordination. Our ideal candidate will create a welcoming environment where participants of all levels feel supported, challenged, and inspired.

  Lead group Mat Pilates classes that are safe, engaging, and inclusive for all levels.

  Provide modifications and progressions to meet participants' needs.

  
  
• 
  

  Educate participants on proper form and technique to ensure safety and effectiveness.

  
  
• 
  

  Build positive relationships and foster a sense of community within the class.

  
  
• 
  

  Promote other YMCA programs and services that support healthy living.

  
  

• 
  

  Certification in Pilates instruction (Mat Pilates focus strongly preferred).

  
  
• 
  

  Experience teaching group fitness or Pilates classes in a wellness or fitness setting.

  Strong communication and motivational skills.

  Ability to connect with participants of all ages and abilities.
