Role Summary:
Reporting to the Showroom Manager, the Lighting Project Manager is a key member of the Kendall Lighting Center sales team. The person in this role maintains positive relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service. The Lighting Project Manager provides full cycle project management while supporting the projects department. They are responsible for managing all phases of Construction Lighting projects, which may include staged projects.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Lighting Project Manager position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Manage/Oversee Kendall Lighting Center projects from start to finish
  • Support company products and services to customers calling into the branch by gathering information about their needs
  • Properly select products and quantities to meet specifications and evaluate alternate solutions
  • Professional communication with customers
  • Manage material scheduling and delivery projects with multiple contractors and suppliers
  • Providing support to the Projects department including expediting the orders, providing shipping schedules, and release documentation
  • Provide complete project management on awarded projects including vendor negotiations, quotations, submittals, shipping, expediting, billing and returns
  • Work with vendors, customers, and employees to coordinate material flow
  • Maintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies, procedures, and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:


  • Work Experience: 2 years of project management experience
  • Education: High School diploma or GED
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Experience working with MS Office, especially Excel; strong computer and typing skills
  • Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; provide excellent internal and external customer service; ambitious and accountable
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong phone presence and listening skills.

  • Work Experience: Wholesale Distribution/Logistics experience; Lighting experience
