As a Building and Grounds Level 1, you will primarily perform set-up safely and efficiently, installation and the removal of steel racking in dry, frozen, and refrigerated warehouses. Other duties may include the installation and maintenance of various fixtures and equipment within the warehouse and assisting the Automation Maintenance team with various tasks.

WHAT YOU'LL DO


  • Safely and efficiently helps to set rack uprights and beams.

  • Repair and maintain physical structures using hand and power tools.
  • Move, install, and adjust various fixtures and equipment.
  • Operate warehouse machinery including scissor lifts and boom lifts to accurately perform the set-up, installation and maintenance of racking, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Keep projects moving and keep manager informed of any type of work concern.
  • Work in warehouse material handling functions as needed.

  • Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

YOU MUST HAVE


  • Must be currently employed by Dot Foods or Dot Transportation, Inc.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • High School Diploma, General Equivalency Degree, or relevant work experience
  • Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to operate powered equipment safely

  • Meet minimum requirements on pre-employment testing including a physical ability exam

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE


  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Effective communication and analytical skills

ROLE SPECIFICS


  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM
  • Ability to regularly lift products and equipment up to 60 pounds

  • Work in hot/humid temperatures and/or 10 below zero freezer temperature for extended periods of time
  • Extensive standing/walking on concrete
  • Working at Heights

  • Occasional overtime may be required
