The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain the organization's inventory, by monitoring and reviewing daily reports and making inventory adjustments when necessary.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles

  • Processes inventory transactions daily in a timely and accurate manner

  • Assists with the management of receipts routing and goods receipts

  • Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made

  • Participants in various reoccurring counting practices including semi annual physical inventory count as well as more frequent cycle counts; audits counts as needed

  • Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager

  • Performs other related duties as requested

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors

  • Understanding of inventory control procedures

  • Experienced with MRP systems, preferably JD Edwards/Oracle

  • Experience with Process Improvement

  • Organized and able to work with minimum supervision

  • Forklift truck license, preferred

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience performing similar work

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience with computerized inventory systems required

  • Forklift operator certification preferred

Physical requirements

  • Indoor factory setting

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times

  • Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low

Compensation Details

Hourly: $20.00 - $25.00

Additional Compensation

Hourly Rate for this position: $20.00 - $25.00/hour (the rate offered will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position).
