Objective: Shipping & Receiving Expectations
- Pick parts per the pick ticket and follow shipping instructions to ship
- Use best practice and standard operating procedure (SOP) as trained
- Ensure correct parts are shipped
- Communicate with supervisor if any direction is unclear
- Monitor for un-shipped product
- Use pick ticket report to verify all tickets are shipped
- Monitor carts for un-shipped product at EOD
- Work with peers as directed by supervisor
- Packaging
- Follow best practices and directions from supervisor on packaging method
- Communicate with supervisor if packaging needs to deviate from the norm
- Receiving
- Check receiving report at beginning of shift.
- Stock shelves and pallet racks according to F/T guidelines, this includes insuring proper bin locations and use of stickers.
- Follow procedure when receiving parts, verifying counts and part numbers.
- Follow discrepancy guidelines when there is an issue with a shipment.
- Work in a team environment to achieve shipping goals
- Take over other shipping duties as required
- Work with peers as directed by supervisor to achieve all shipping goals stated above
- Forklift Operation
- Forklift operation may be part of expected duties
- Operate forklift to move pallets to and from racks, scale, packing station and onto trucks.
Objective: Inventory Maintenance Expectations
- Follow proper picking procedures
- Recycle boxes as necessary for shipping
- Participate in inventory cycle counts to maintain inventory
- Follow supervisor's instructions on tracking down issues with inventory
Objective: Cleanliness Expectations
- Maintain cleanliness of general work area
- Daily clean up at EOD
- Immediately communicate abnormal conditions to supervisor
Objective: Communication Expectations
- Immediately communicate with your supervisor and receive additional work instructions when all assigned work has been completed. If supervisor is unavailable, continue with cleaning duties until further notified
- Communicate effectively and with respect to all personnel both internal and external ex. Suppliers, customers and peers
- Communicate with your supervisor routinely to discuss critical events, associate issues, and to obtain information and direction
