Essential Job Duties
The part-time Undergraduate Admissions International Reader/Processor position was created to assist the staff in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with reviewing international first year and transfer applications for undergraduate admission. The position is fully remote and will work approximately 20 hours per week Monday through Friday. The number of hours per week can vary depending on the workload. Readers will work from the beginning of October through the beginning of May. Application review training and guidance will be provided.

This position will also assist in answering applicant email inquiries, assisting in virtual international presentations via Zoom and updating student applications.

Other Work/Responsibilities
Job Duties:


  • Read international first year and transfer undergraduate applications for admission to North Carolina State University
  • Analyze qualifications of prospective students utilizing admissions guidelines
  • Evaluate electronic applications and related materials
  • Become familiar with submitting reader review forms in Technolutions Slate (Customer Relationship Manager of Undergraduate Admissions)
  • Follow-up with applicants by email if additional information is needed
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Experience/Education
Bachelor or higher degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Department Required Skills

  • BA/BS degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience to total at least four years.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be a team player
  • Reliable internet
  • Ability to consistently work 20 hours per week from October to April

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

  • Previous admissions reading experience
  • Higher education admissions experience
