Position Purpose
The Treasury Management Officer (TMO) is responsible for working with an assigned Commercial Lending Team to manage customer experience and expectations in onboarding and servicing deposit relationships. The TMO is responsible for customer implementation, problem resolution and cross-selling of the Bank's product offerings.


Position Responsibilities

  • Works in tandem with Commercial Lenders in C&I and CRE to ensure that customers are transitioned to the Bank in an appropriate manner.
  • Responsible for implementing customer solutions and ensures a first-class customer experience during the onboarding process.
  • Coordinates relationship management activities with new and/or existing clients in assigned book of business to grow sales, revenue and market share with relevant sales goals.
  • Typically works with clients with moderate levels of risk and complexity of needs.
  • Works within stated guidelines to acquire and/or expand and retain clients relationships to generate revenue and deepen share of wallet.
  • Actively identifies and mitigates different types of risk, such as regulatory, reputational, and operational risks.
  • Focuses on client opportunities by providing ideas and insights based on an understanding of the client's needs and their financial well-being. Focuses on client engagement and loyalty.
  • Manages effective network of internal and external relationships, such as community or industry relationships, to actively help in acquiring and winning new clients in partnership with assigned market RMs and/or expand existing clients and enhance the client experience. Focuses on bringing the entire bank to the client by presenting the full range of Capital Bank including affiliates - Opensky and Mortgage products and services. Leveraging reporting and sales tools to proactively identify and successfully convert sales opportunities.
  • Follows the 2X2X2 system to monitor new customer deposits in order to ensure that accounts are funded in accordance with commitments made during the sales process. Manages this system and process accordingly.
  • Acts as an escalation point for customer issues and works to resolve the issues either independently or refer to branches for day-to-day servicing or problem resolution.
  • Manages and creates customer outreach programs and executes them accordingly to include identifying opportunities to conduct Relationship Reviews with a focus on cross selling or upselling products and services and increasing deposits.
  • Managing Monthly Meetings with Assigned Relationship Managers to discuss Pipeline, Expansion Opportunities and identifying clients from existing book of business to conduct Relationship Reviews.
  • Ensures all required documentation is collected and maintained as required by existing policy.
  • Provides timely and accurate reporting to RMs, MEs and Supervisor as needed and requested.
  • Updates SharePoint Pipeline on a weekly basis to provide current information on treasury services and deposit opportunities as assigned or identified. Ensuring proper credit to RM/Referring Officer and/or Director etc.
  • Works with outside vendors and professionals to remedy situations as needed or engage appropriate internal parties/partners for escalation to resolve.
  • Generally works with a moderate degree of supervision.



Minimum Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Branch or Business Development environment with proven experience in banking.
  • Prior experience with Core banking systems.



Technical Knowledge and Skills



  • Knowledge of Business Banking terminology and products.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify, research and resolve issues that arise with customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to set priorities in a multi-task environment and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.


Compensation:



  • Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $135,000 annually. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as relevant experience, skill set, education, geographic location, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
  • Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual and company performance.
