Job Summary:

VSolvit is looking for a Product Manager to lead a product team supporting Department of Defense (DoD) initiatives. In this role, you will drive product vision, define strategy, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver meaningful solutions for stakeholders and users. You will manage product backlogs, prioritize features, and ensure development aligns with mission requirements.

As a Product Manager, you will balance business needs with user-centered design, facilitate decision-making, and adapt direction based on data. The ability to understand user needs, manage stakeholder expectations, and guide teams through Agile processes is essential.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and articulate product vision, roadmap, and business model
  • Establish and manage an outcome-oriented product roadmap and backlog
  • Prioritize features based on mission impact and stakeholder needs
  • Collaborate with engineers on Test-Driven Development, pair programming, CI/CD, and evolutionary design
  • Partner with product designers on user research, personas, usability testing, and UI/UX
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity to resolve POA&M items and ensure compliance
  • Track performance metrics using Atlassian Jira and Confluence
  • Release products iteratively, validating assumptions and refining direction
  • Support containerized environments and cloud architectures

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of product management or related experience
  • Experience with Agile frameworks (Lean, Scrum, XP)
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and DevSecOps practices
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain DoD SECRET Clearance
  • If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD environment experience
  • Strong background in Agile product delivery
  • Knowledge of container orchestration (VMware Tanzu, Kubernetes)
