Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer with hands-on industry experience to join their growing engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate with both software and hardware engineers to design, develop, and support software solutions for the test measurement and automation industry. The ideal candidate has current experience with LabVIEW or .NET, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across diverse platforms, including Windows, microcontrollers, and PLCs. This position provides the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects in industries such as aerospace, defense, and medical while continuing to expand your technical expertise through training and professional development.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design, implement, and deploy test and manufacturing system solutions for a variety of industries.
  • Develop functional algorithms, user interfaces, and applications based on customer and project requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues across multiple platforms.
  • Create and maintain required engineering documentation following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Utilize ERP systems to support project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training and certification programs.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and customers.
  • Travel locally and domestically as needed (typically less than 15% annually).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a software engineer.
  • Current knowledge and hands-on experience with LabVIEW or .NET.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in designing small-scale applications and user interfaces.
  • Experience with remote interfaces and applications for test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, PLCs, and digital/analog modules.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and customers.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
