The USON Practice Management Inventory and MID Controller is responsible for overseeing the accounting control environment for the US Oncology Network (USON) related to Inventory and Medically Integrated Dispensing (MID). The selected candidate will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies, policies, and controls to manage financial statement risks-including end-to-end process (upstream & downstream) and data risks-to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Process Optimization & Transformation
Lead network-wide process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, standardization, and automation in Inventory and MID accounting. Champion transformation projects that leverage technology and data analytics to streamline processes and enhance control effectiveness. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices across the network.
Strategic Control Environment Leadership
Design and implement a robust control environment for Inventory and MID accounting across USON, ensuring alignment with McKesson's enterprise risk management and internal control standards. Develop and maintain governance frameworks that address financial statement risks, process integrity, and data accuracy for all Inventory and MID activities. Continuously assess and enhance controls to adapt to evolving business, regulatory, and technology landscapes.
Risk Management & Compliance
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and data risks related to Inventory and MID, including upstream and downstream process risks. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), PCAOB, COSO, and US GAAP requirements, and support internal and external audit activities. Monitor and report on control effectiveness, ensuring timely remediation of deficiencies and proactive risk mitigation.
Practice Engagement & Support
Serve as the primary escalation point for Inventory and MID accounting issues, providing expert guidance and resolution support to practices. Support onboarding of new practices by integrating Inventory and MID processes into the USON control environment. Manage practice disaffiliations to ensure proper separation and risk mitigation for Inventory and MID accounting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence
Partner with Practice Controllers, Network Accounting, USON Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of operational and accounting objectives. Educate and influence stakeholders on the importance of data integrity, control compliance, and risk management in Inventory and MID processes. Facilitate cross-functional teams to drive accountability and shared ownership of outcomes.
Leadership, Communication & Change Management
Present control environment status, risks, and transformation progress to senior and executive leadership. Lead and mentor cross-functional teams (often without direct authority), fostering collaboration and high performance. Drive change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes, controls, and technologies.
Data Stewardship & Analytics
Oversee the integrity and accuracy of Inventory and MID data used in financial reporting and operational decision-making. Leverage data analytics to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process and control improvements. Promote data-driven decision-making and educate stakeholders on the value of high-quality data.
Minimum Requirement Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience. Less years required if has relevant Master's or Doctorate qualifications. Education

10+ years of accounting and reporting experience. Less years required if has relevant Master's qualifications Direct experience leading change and business / process transformation in a large complex public company. Effective communication skills including ability to present to Senior/ Executive Leadership. Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships with facets of the organization to develop and execute plans, leveraging various teams across the organization. Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and internal control environments.

Salary: 126,000.00 - 168,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual (20% MIP) P5 We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
