We are looking for someone who can support Field Operations with the management of all maintenance activities. Accountabilities include managing asset data and associated preventative maintenance, and working with field operations to plan and schedule maintenance activities. Manage procurement for goods and services, and act as craft historian, ensuring work is documented toward the assets.

Here's what you will do:

  • Administrative

    • Develop facility and maintenance reports (e.g. backlog, PM forecast, delinquent PM's)

    • Review reports and trends for bad actors (equipment), or unwanted behavior in the work management program

    • Support Field Operations with ensuring compliance work is executed on time

    • Manage procurement in support of all asset related work

    • Collaborate with Area Supervisors and Area Coordinator to maintain budget alignment

    • Administer the Work Management Standards and Process

  • Technical

    • Develop annual maintenance plans and support alignment with the region outage schedule

    • Coordinate with outside stakeholders that require operations support

    • Develop and revise Work Packages for routine and non-routine maintenance activities

    • Provide all stakeholders input and feedback to improve future decisions and ensure continuous improvement

    • Support data collection of new assets and the implementation of preventative maintenance activities

    • Act as Area SME for the maintenance management system (Maximo) and provide training to technicians as needed

    • Support regulatory audits

  • Leadership

    • Provide input in the areas of planning, scheduling, inventory and procurement to all stakeholders.

    • Analyze and improve the effectiveness of Work Packages

    • Analyze and recommend areas to improve the effectiveness of facility performance; both from an operations and maintenance perspective

    • Liaise with Operations, Maintenance and Ops Engineering to develop and review planning documents.

    • Work closely with Operations and other Stakeholder groups to optimize execution, schedule and cost of work

    • Chair and facilitate various area meetings for Work Management (i.e. weekly scheduling meetings, monthly planning meetings)

    • Assist in long range planning

    • Coach and mentor field technicians on work management best practices.

Required:

  • Related university degree and four-plus years' experience OR eight-plus years of previous field operations or planning/scheduling experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.

  • Qualified Tradesperson or Engineer with the ability to read and interpret P&IDs

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate complex maintenance work requiring outages and support from multiple crafts and/or third parties

  • Demonstrated knowledge of facility operations and logistics

  • Working knowledge of gas pipeline assets/equipment, and maintenance activities across multiple crafts.

  • Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal forms, as well as developed facilitation skills

  • Organization skills and the ability to manage large datasets.

  • Ability to influence and negotiate

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple work schedules

  • Demonstrate an understanding of regulatory in requirements of pipeline work and operations

Preferred:

  • Advanced computer literacy and skills in CMMS (ie. Maximo), Microsoft suite of tools, and other applicable software

  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability in Maintenance Management, Supply Chain, Management of Change and all relevant core business functions within Work Management.

Working Conditions:
  • Field office environment with regular travel to the field.

  • Some travel may be required
