Position Summary
Essential Job Functions:
Creative Leadership & IP Development
- Define a bold, player-driven innovation roadmap focused exclusively on felt-based table games.
- Identify opportunities to expand L&W's portfolio of proprietary games and side bets through
novel formats and play styles.
- Guide ideation, testing, and refinement of new game concepts in partnership with game designers and math experts.
Studio Management
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team (product managers, designers, game devs) with a mandate to challenge category conventions.
Foster a studio culture centered around creativity, rapid iteration, and deep empathy for both players and dealers.
- Provide mentorship and leadership development within a lean but high-impact team.
Customer Insights & Market Research
- Lead market analysis and direct customer research to ensure new games and side bets are grounded in real-world needs.
- Conduct operator interviews, dealer observations, and player testing to validate early ideas and refine concepts.
- Develop robust player and operator personas to guide innovation and go-to-market strategies.
Commercial & Industry Engagement
- Work closely with field sales and casino operator partners to identify unmet needs and white space opportunities in the felt-based category.
- Serve as the external face of felt table games innovation, demoing new concepts at industry events and customer showcases.
- Refine concepts based on operator feedback and pilot performance, ensuring commercial viability and regulatory compliance.
- Drive adoption through clear value articulation and differentiated player experiences.
Product Development Ownership
- Drive concept development, prototyping, playtesting, field trials, and rollout in partnership with operations and go-to-market teams.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure timely certification and jurisdictional approval of new formats. Define and manage detailed feature specifications and requirements.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Define KPIs to track game performance across metrics such as time-on-table, hold percentage, and player preference.
- Establish continuous feedback loops with external reporting and internal teams to refine products post-launch.
- Maintain and evolve a structured feedback loop to track the performance of launched titles and inform next-gen development.
Financial Management
- Manage product development budgets and forecast revenue contributions from new launches.
- Make financially sound decisions around investment in new formats, derivatives, or feature enhancements.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the key internal and external voice for the felt-based Table Games business.
- Communicate progress and product strategy to executive leadership, sales partners, and casino operators.
- Actively seek feedback from stakeholders and incorporate learnings to drive continual improvement.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure new games meet jurisdictional standards and obtain necessary certifications.
- Identify and mitigate product risks (regulatory, performance, customer perception) early in the development process.
Qualifications:
- 5-10+ years in table games or casino product leadership, ideally with deep experience in felt-based game development.
- Demonstrated success in launching new table games or expanding existing portfolios through innovation.
- Familiarity with game protection, regulatory constraints, and operational realities of casino floor execution.
- Background in product, innovation, or game development preferred.
- Strong business acumen and market knowledge.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Master's degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Visionary but grounded, able to imagine the future of felt table games while managing execution with rigor.
- Deep understanding of game dynamics, dealer experience, and casino operations.
- Highly collaborative; able to bring diverse teams together around a shared product mission.
- Strategic, analytical, and player-obsessed. Every decision stems from a clear understanding of customer needs.
- Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting to C-level leaders, customers, and cross- functional teams.
