WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE:

As a CAD Designer at nVent Management Company, you will play an integral role in our engineering projects. Your expertise will be critical in transforming project specifications, sketches, or notes into precise and accurate working plans and detailed drawings.   • Prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings according to project specifications.

  • Build final drawing packets following Trachte job specifications to ensure consistency in build standards, dimensions, scaling, and CAD operations.

  • Make adjustments or changes as requested by customers or the Project Manager.

  • Apply CAD software (SolidWorks) and equipment to build technical drawings.

  • Maintain job logs and historical references to support project tracking and documentation.

  • Support a collaborative work environment that encourages pride in the product and values individual contributions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

YOU HAVE:

  • The candidate must have an associate or bachelor's degree in Drafting Technology, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, 5 years of proven experience may replace the degree requirement.

  • Proven understanding of SolidWorks or Creo or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak with groups of customers or employees of the organization.
