Waukesha County Technical College is excited to be hiring for a Learning and Development Assistant to help support the daily operations of the Organizational Learning and Development team within Human Resources Services. This is a grant-funded position for the 2025-2026 academic year. Normal work schedule is flexible and is expected to range about 15 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position starts at $23.03.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate organizational learning and development activities to include, but not limited to, the Faculty Quality Assurance System (FQAS) and faculty credentialing, employee education tuition assistance, staff development and learning activities, and other professional development programs and events.
- Assist with various Human Resource Services projects, programs, and events.
- Perform general office support such as managing calls and emails to the HR Services, Credentialing, and My Development accounts, responding to and/or distributing inquiries appropriately, and greeting visitors to the HR office suite.
- Enter data into the College's HRIS, performance management, learning management, and credentialing systems, and other similar functions. Track FQAS credentialing, training course enrollments and completions, schedule appointments/rooms, complete document imaging and filing, and duplicate and collect materials.
- Make updates to organizational learning and development information on the College's portal, HR SharePoint pages, and learning management websites.
- Generate payment requests for invoices/expenses, including employee education tuition assistance programs.
- Generate and review reports, update data, track changes, and run database queries.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency with Office software, database systems, HRIS systems, common office practices such as writing procedures, and operation of common office equipment
- Orientation to detail, completing and maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as ratios and percentages
- Ability to compile data, analyze data, and write/prepare reports
- Ability to manage time, organize, and prioritize
- Ability to read, understand, write, and explain technical procedures
- Effective interpersonal communication skills in speaking, writing, and listening; demonstrated ability in effective public speaking to groups of all sizes
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external contacts
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and/or with minimal supervision
Educational and Experience Requirements
- High School diploma and three (3) years of office support experience or Associate's/Bachelor's degree in related field and six (6+) or more months of office support experience.
- Experience with employee learning/development preferred.

Supplemental Information
-
The Learning and Development Assistant position supports the Human Resources department and is available to start on/or before October 20th.
This is a limited-term, grant-funded position averaging 15 hours per week through June 30, 2026. Work is in person on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Preferred schedule is three 5-hour days per week; alternate arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
Position is not eligible for benefits.
