Where Data Does More. Join the Snowflake team.

There is only one Data Cloud. Snowflake's founders started from scratch and designed a data platform built for the cloud that is effective, affordable, and accessible to all data users. But it didn't stop there. They engineered Snowflake to power the Data Cloud, where thousands of organizations unlock the value of their data with near-unlimited scale, concurrency, and performance. This is our vision: a world with endless insights to tackle the challenges and opportunities of today and reveal the possibilities of tomorrow.

Our product offering runs on multiple cloud providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure Google Cloud and a number of Sovereign cloud environments. Our infrastructure self-optimizes, provides high availability and data protection across cloud providers so our users can focus on using their data, not managing it. We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to own the product vision and strategy for the foundational platform services that ensure Snowflake is exceptionally reliable, performant, and scalable.

This role is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our elastic, large-scale, high-performance computing environment by defining the future of our platform's reliability, release engineering, service health, and orchestration capabilities.

AS A SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE YOU WILL:
  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for core platform reliability (including releases), broader service health, developing abstraction APIs, automation and orchestration services.

  • Define and prioritize features and capabilities that improve the stability, predictability (including developing customer workload testing tools) and efficiency of our global infrastructure.

  • Author detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and specifications, defining success criteria for our engineering teams.

  • Partner closely with senior engineering leaders to define and drive alignment on Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and error budgets for critical services.

  • Develop a strategic roadmap for our release engineering and CI/CD infrastructure to ensure fast, safe, and stable releases for the entire engineering organization.

  • Champion a culture of operational excellence by driving investments in observability, monitoring, incident management, and automation.

  • Collaborate with engineering, SRE, and other product teams to understand their needs and translate them into a coherent platform strategy.

  • Communicate the product strategy, roadmap, and impact to stakeholders at all levels, from individual engineers to executive leadership.

OUR IDEAL SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE:
  • 5+ years of technical product management experience, preferably in infrastructure, cloud services, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a related developer-facing domain.

  • Proven experience shipping products related to reliability engineering, observability (monitoring, logging, tracing), CI/CD, or large-scale service orchestration.

  • Deep technical understanding of distributed systems, high availability, fault tolerance, and cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

  • Demonstrated ability to develop product roadmaps, write clear and concise requirements, and make difficult trade-off decisions based on data and business needs.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to influence and align cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Strong CS fundamentals and the ability to have credible, in-depth technical discussions with senior engineers.

  • Track record of identifying and delivering creative solutions to complex technical problems.

  • BS in Computer Science or a related technical field; Masters or equivalent experience preferred.

WHY JOIN THE PRODUCT TEAM AT SNOWFLAKE?

  • Build an industry-leading Cloud Data Platform from the inside out.

  • Solve challenging technical problems related to security, parallel and distributed systems, programming, resource management, large-scale system maintenance, and more!

  • Work closely with your internal and external customers-our world-class engineering teams-to understand their needs and build the tools and platforms that make them successful.

  • Learn about and contribute to:

    • A super-robust and secure enterprise SaaS platform that services thousands of customers and hundreds of millions of complex queries daily.

    • A highly-scalable and reliable cloud platform that runs on hundreds of thousands of machines.

    • The operational backbone and release systems for a world-class engineering organization.

  • Join a world-class team of both industry veterans and rising stars.
