Job Overview: Trinitas Regional Medical Center ER is a state-of-the-art facility that recently underwent an $18.7 million renovation that nearly doubled the number of treatment beds from 27 to 45. Care is now delivered in highly personalized areas that address the needs of families, seniors and behavioral patients. Also included in the project are a 128-slice CT scanner and an onsite ultrasound suite that speeds up the delivery of care and provides a more detailed diagnosis. Essential Functions: Patient Care Associate's perform a variety of routine and advanced patient care tasks under the direction of nursing staff to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients. They perform a variety of clerical and technical tasks as assigned. Participate in patient care interventions and personal care procedures for patients. Perform approved dressings and wound care; participate in nutritional activities; assist with personal hygiene; assist with ambulation; assist with bowel and bladder elimination; provide such additional care as required to meet the personal needs and comfort of assigned patients. Determine, prepare and set up medical supplies and equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to include obtaining specimens, taking vital signs and measurements, positioning patients and attaching equipment leads to specific body locations.
