Software Engineer - Mid-Level Location: San Diego, CA Contract-to-Hire Opportunity About the Opportunity: Join a dynamic technology team supporting a leading manufacturer in the transportation and logistics industry. We're looking for a mid-level software engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about building scalable, high-impact solutions. This is a contract-to-hire role based in sunny San Diego, CA, offering the chance to work on innovative applications that support real-world manufacturing operations. What You'll Bring: We're seeking someone with solid experience in object-oriented programming and a strong grasp of modern software development practices. If you enjoy working across the stack, integrating systems, and solving complex problems, this role is for you. Must-Have Skills: * Proficiency in Java or C# (You will be working with both languages) * Experience with RESTful Web Services * Hands-on knowledge of API integration and inter-system communication Nice-to-Have Skills: * Full-stack development experience with JavaScript, ReactJS, and Node.js * Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred) * Familiarity with microservice architecture What You'll Be Doing: * Design, develop, and maintain web and mobile applications integrated with ERP systems * Collaborate with internal and external development teams throughout the SDLC * Analyze user needs and translate them into system enhancements * Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for enterprise applications * Build and maintain interfaces (API, EDI, EAI) for seamless data exchange * Coordinate with third-party vendors and systems to ensure smooth integration Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience * 2+ years of experience in web application development * Familiarity with Agile (SCRUM) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) * Strong communication and time management skills * Willingness to travel occasionally Why Apply?
