DUTIES:

Under direct but not constant supervision, to do general cleaning and porter work. In this connection, to perform details of work as assigned, such as, but not limited to:

Assemble the materials, tools and equipment required to perform assigned work, and clean up afterwards.

Take the necessary steps to insure that safety devices are used as required.

Adjust, modify, clean, repair and lubricate office furniture.

Dust and polish office furniture and fixtures.

Clean drinking fountains, washbowls, etc.

Move furniture and equipment.

Replenish such supplies as towels, soap, drinking cups, ice water, etc.

Wash glass partitions, scrub washrooms, disinfect toilet fixtures, wax floors and general cleaning as assigned.

Run errands and drive vehicle as assigned.

Sort, deliver, wrap and unwrap packages.

Relamp and clean light fixtures.

Help unload Company trucks of materials and supplies.

Sweep sidewalks, remove snow and spread salt as assigned.

Perform similar and less skilled work as assigned.

SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

For proper care and use of company tools and machines including a limited amount of equipment used in cleaning.

For observing safety rules for the protection of self and fellow workers.

Maintain good working knowledge of standard practices and safety rules and must be careful, accurate, alert, thorough and observant.

CONTACTS:

With employees of various departments.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Some work in dust and dirt, dampness or wet conditions.

HAZARDS:

Exposure to potential health and safety hazards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school education or the equivalent.

Must possess Illinois class D or Missouri class E driver's license.
