Job Description

The Treasury Manager joins a resolute team within Visa Treasury, that in addition to the management and execution of billions in Settlement funds movement, have accountability for Network and Gateway reconciliations of 100's of millions of transactions. This includes daily processes of transaction and bank account activity reconciliation between Visa Inc., its clients, processors, partner Network or Gateway service providers globally using various Visa and vendor systems and detailed research, analysis and resolution of issues identified. This position will specifically lead the transaction and account reconciliation for Visa Debit Processing Services (DPS), a Visa owned Issuer processor and be primary backup to analysts managing other Gateway or Network reconciliations. The candidate must effectively manage their time and priorities in an extraordinarily complex and ever-changing environment with minimal management oversight. The candidate should have strong leadership skills to manage a team of two. Additionally, the candidate must possess a deep understanding of Network payments processing, its importance to Visa Inc. and DPS, Clients as well as have a passion for the payments industry and the end-to-end systems utilized. The candidate will also partner in the development and execution of business workflows and systems roadmaps and lead specific initiatives in support of new Network connections, Products, Clients.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage, coach, and develop multiple Treasury Analysts to meet Objectives and Key Result's through reconciliation, research, and analysis skills.
  • Lead and perform bank account and transaction reconciliation, research, analysis, documentation, reporting and appropriate escalation with an ability to practice sound judgement with direct monetary impact to Clients.
  • Deep understanding of accounting practices, activities, and accurate recording in general ledger.
  • Lead and perform timely and error free submission of Client transaction adjustments.
  • Lead Visa DPS Client set-ups process in relation to Treasury requirements.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with queries, models, macros, and data scraping tools such as Datawatch Monarch.
  • Diligent collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and initial point of contact for issues escalations.
  • Lead and perform analysis to discover trends, uncover issues, support hypothesis, provide information and make recommendations for immediate and long term operational and system processes improvement.
  • Prepare Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point or Project documents to manage issues and perform analysis and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare departmental presentations, training materials, procedures, executive summaries, business requirements, use cases, briefs, test plans, diagrams, workflows, timelines and participate in useracceptance testing.
  • Lead from the business perspective the implementation of new systems, processes, documentation, issues management, resolution and reporting across multiple cross functional stakeholders including but not

    limited to Product or Network Processing, Enterprise Risk, Credit Settlement Risk, Corporate Accounting, SOX audits, Global Interchange, FP&A, IT Network Processing, Visa and DPS Technology Architecture, etc.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.

  • Highly dependable and dedicated to team. Ensure accuracy and great attention to detail with ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment with frequently changing priorities.
  • Strong problem solving and issue resolution skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities from home (high speed internet connectivity).
  • Proven ability to work independently, across cultures and time zones while anticipating deliverables needed by collaborating effectively with internal and external peers who may not share the same goal.
  • Good balance between business understanding and technical aptitude, with ability to connect business ideas to technical solutions and vice versa.
  • Previous experience in a highly controlled and audited environment (SOX, SAE166, internal, external audit etc.).
  • Excellent written and analytical skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Solid knowledge of payment system transaction flows, understanding of operational, liquidity, and credit risk.
  • Ability to manage cash and liquidity on local and international bank accounts in multiple currencies, accurate balance sheet with a good understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Demonstrate the capability to think globally/strategically, turn information into insights, and drive results.
  • Be self-motivated, and demonstrate the ability to influence, negotiate, and communicate effectively across functional lines to ensure all stakeholders' needs are addressed.
  • Collaborate and coach for continuous development of self and team.
  • Understanding of intricate technical details of payment systems in varying aspects of business, transaction life cycle, routing, foreign exchange, and settlement funds transfers.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 111,200.00 to 161,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
