The Liang Laboratory at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral scholars to join our team in exploring innovative strategies to enhance tumor immunogenicity and overcome resistance to immunotherapy. Our research focuses on identifying metabolic vulnerabilities in cancer and developing metabolic interventions to convert immunologically cold tumors into hot tumors, thereby promoting immune recognition and response. We are particularly interested in investigating both genetic and chemical approaches to enhance MHC class Imediated antigen presentation in tumor cells, with the goal of increasing tumor visibility to cytotoxic immune cells. Candidates will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge models and techniques in tumor immunology, cancer metabolism, and therapeutic development. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training not only in experimental design and execution, but also in grant writing, scientific communication, and career development, with the final goal of preparing them for independent research careers in academia or industry. Required Education Doctoral Degree in the appropriate field or discipline, or the recognized terminal degree, or the equivalent foreign equivalent. Preferred Experience Experience in cancer biology, metabolism and immunology. Experience in flow cytometry and scRNAseq. Experience in CRISPR screening and/or drug screening. Experience in mouse work, such as xenograft tumor models. Ability to work and collaborate effectively with students, faculty and staff from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and contact information for three professional references through the online application. |
