Overview
The Office of Events is a growing department whose primary function is to assure the events hosted by Utah State University, "Exceed Expectations". The purpose of this position is to work with a fast-paced team setting up and taking down chairs, tables, and stages for various events on campus. This is an ACA Variable position.

Responsibilities
  • Participate with other team members in event set up and take down. Works to prepare venues and event sites with various organizations on campus.
  • Show up on time to your scheduled shift
  • Work in an efficient manner
  • Maintain an up-to-date work schedule
  • Presents positive public relations image by representing self in professional demeanor at all times
  • Maintains good working relationships with internal staff and works cohesively with supervisors
  • Works closely with a wide variety of campus entities, including Facilities, Athletics, Faculty, Staff, Students and Admins as it relates to events

This position requires considerable physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs.) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects. Employees must be prepared to assume uncomfortable positions, such as crawling, kneeling, and squatting. This position requires nearly continuous standing, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead. Employees may be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
